Daolity is a multi-tenant platform designed to simplify blockchain adoption for businesses. It offers a comprehensive suite of blockchain functionalities through a user-friendly API and SDK integration. the main goal is to reduce regulatory liabilities and accelerate development cycles for our clients, making blockchain technology as accessible and straightforward as possible. Think of us as "Shopify for blockchain technology."
My Role
In this project, I wore multiple hats: Graphics Designer, UX Researcher, and UI/UX Designer. My responsibilities included understanding user needs, designing intuitive interfaces, and ensuring a seamless user experience.
I designed a Full own branding, logo and motion design system alongside the product for this project.

Process
Breaking down the project
The first step was to dive deep into understanding the users and their specific pain points. I conducted interviews with potential clients who struggled with the intricacies of blockchain technology. Many expressed frustration over the complex regulatory landscape, highlighting the difficulty in staying compliant with constantly changing regulations. Others pointed out the technical hurdles, such as the need for specialized expertise and the significant development resources required to integrate blockchain functionality.
Additionally, businesses were concerned about scalability and security, unsure how to scale their applications while maintaining robust security measures. I also reviewed existing solutions in the market to identify gaps and opportunities, ensuring Daolity would effectively address these common challenges. This phase was crucial in shaping the direction of our design approach.
Building on strong foundations
With a clear understanding of user needs, I created detailed user personas and journey maps to visualize the different interactions with our platform. For example, one persona was "Tech-Savvy Startup Founder," who needed to integrate blockchain into a new product without extensive blockchain expertise. Their journey map started with discovering Daolity, followed by signing up, integrating the API/SDK, and finally deploying their blockchain-enabled application.
Throughout this journey, I identified key touchpoints where users might encounter difficulties, such as understanding compliance requirements or managing smart contract deployment. To address these pain points, I brainstormed features like pre-built compliance templates, intuitive dashboards, and comprehensive documentation with step-by-step guides. The journey maps helped us conceptualize these features in a user-centric manner, ensuring that the platform was both powerful and easy to use, ultimately simplifying complex processes for our users.
Collaborating closely with the development team, I provided detailed design specifications and assets. Regular check-ins and reviews ensured that the design was implemented accurately. I worked with the developers to address any challenges that arose during the implementation phase.

Challenges
Simplifying Complex Financial Information: One major challenge was presenting complex blockchain functionalities in a way that was easy to understand. To tackle this, I used clear visual aids like charts and graphs, and added tooltips and educational content to explain key concepts.
Ensuring Security and Scalability: Another challenge was ensuring the platform could scale and remain secure as user demand grew. Working closely with the technical team, we integrated robust security features and scalable infrastructure without compromising on the user experience.
Outcome
The final product was a user-friendly platform that allowed businesses to easily integrate blockchain functionalities. The intuitive interface and comprehensive features received positive feedback from users. Daolity successfully simplified blockchain adoption, enabling businesses to focus on innovation without worrying about technical and regulatory complexities.
Learnings
This project reinforced the importance of user-centered design, especially when dealing with complex technologies. Continuous testing and iteration were key to creating a product that met user needs. Additionally, close collaboration with the development team ensured that the design was both feasible and effectively implemented. This experience highlighted the value of integrating user feedback and technical constraints into the design process.
